The aviation industry is experiencing a severe lack of good aircraft mechanics due to retirement etc. Therefore, the Ernie Hall Aviation Museum has launched another scholarship offering to those enrolled in Aircraft mechanics in the Trumbull County area. Each entry had to include in essay as to the many reasons why they qualify for financial assistance and what their future goals are upon graduation in this field.
Over 60 Young Eagles signed up in September to eagerly experience their first FREE exploratory flight. It is sponsored by the (EAA) Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 117 and the Ernie Hall Aviation Museum. Chapter President Anthony DeGaten said the program is geared to inspire ages 8 to 17 and to keep them engaged by learning about the forces of flight including weight, lift, thrust, and drag, even before their exciting first lift off. There are over 200,000 members in this organization around the world.
